I'm a passionately creative frontend web developer living in Austin, Texas, a devoted lifelong learner, and a believer in the power of social change through creative endeavors. A creative problem-solver with an attention to detail focused on helping clients achieve their goals to exact specification, I'm particularly interested in working with other creative individuals to bring projects and tools to life, as the idea that creativity can change the world is a powerful one for me.
With a background in teaching, I have a knack for explaining complicated ideas in an easily understandable way. I'm interested in contributing to artistic open-source projects, love the challenge of learning a new language or technology, and I'm constantly seeking platforms for social change. In addition to general frontend development, I specialize in UI and responsive design, with the ability to create interfaces that can integrate seamlessly with the backend.
Outside of work, I have a passion for music, third wave coffee, and Cardigan Welsh Corgis. I spend my free time hanging out with my wife and stepson and our two pets: Walter the Cardigan Welsh Corgi and Oreo the cat. Hobbies include watching old and/or arty movies, reading fantasy novels and a variety of comic books, playing fantasy RPGs, watching sports, and playing in my progressive rock band, Proud Peasant.
